As they have their usual Thursday night family dinner, Allison, Chuck and Chet are force to tell Margaret that they won't be attending Thanksgiving dinner at hers along with Lawrence do you other events which leaves her reeling as she storms off leaves the others to discuss and Todd feeling dismissed by her because he had planned to be there with her. 
Todd heads to the Mountain Range Chalet in Sandy, Oregon from Portland to try to convince his brother, Lawrence, to come home for Thanksgiving.
At home, Margaret goes through her cherished pictures of her family including those of her children when they where younger; at the lodge, Todd, Lawrence and Allison attempt to sleep.
