Walker and Emily meet up on the side of a road to check in with one another, they share a kiss then head off. 
Walker attends game night with her parents and children, Stella and August, when he receives a SOS text from his wife, Emily.
Stella, Augie, Liam, and Larry wait for Walker to arrive back in town at the family homestead; Larry asks Liam if Walker check in with him, Liam asks him if he told Walker that he's his new boss.
Walker jogs back to the lookout at Lady Bird Lake to pick up his car, he then drives to the family homestead where he finds his dad hard at work with colts.
As they have lunch at a roadside food truck, Walker and Micki quickly learn about each others background before focusing on their case.
Walker has dinner with his family and learns that his children have changed in a lot of ways since he's been join; Walker receives a call from the police station to pick up Stella.

Walker gets into a fight with suspect Jordan after Jordan insults Walker then throw a punch at him; Micki stops the fight.
Walker finds Stella at Lake Lady Bird at the lookout where he confronts her about her recent behavior and attitude towards him.
Micki and Walker confront Milo about the heroin in his figurines which reveals his sister, Cheryl, as the culprit when pulls a gun on them and gives them chase.
Augie asks to sleep in the cabin with Walker; Stella brings a blanket out to Walker and Augie then tells Walker she head his conversation about his new job offer, he tells her he's not taking the job.
