Art is informed by Sophie that she is expecting a child and will not be taking the Exit pill. He makes the decision to follow suit and hold Sophie's hand while they are killed by the poisonous mist. His parents make an effort to sway him.
They continue to dance as the deadly mist moves toward their home, attempting to enjoy their final moments on earth.
After Art fled, Simon brings him back inside the house, and the kids are all escorted upstairs.
