Lou has just been rejected by a job agent, now walks around town, finds a bike on the street, rides off on it.
Lou gets on a train and thinks about what Ben told him about life and happiness. He spots a passenger in a shirt and tie, who at first forgets his briefcase as he gets off but returns to pick it up.

Lou cycles to work, parks his bike behind bins in the park house, is seen at work in the mall, eats chips with ketchup, gets frustrated with a Pepsi vending machine.

Lou finds that Jackie has driven the van away, and he no longer knows where to stay, feels challenged by life and tries to “not get ticked off”.
Lou spots his bike at a café, it’s locked, he asks around to find the “owner”, the bike thief realises he’s been caught, unlocks the bike and heads off. Lou runs after him but fails to catch him.
Lou tells a passer-by to not touch the jacket Lou took off during the chase. He picks it up and puts it back on, checks for his mobile.
Lou retreats to his storage room, measures his “new cell”, lies down, takes a key to mark his first day in the cell in the wall, sleeps. Wakes up the next day, gets ready in the restrooms, walks out.

Lou calls Becca, they argue over the phone, Becca makes assumptions, Lou can't get a word in to explain. After the call he spots a bike-lost note put up by a friend. Preparations for the party.
